Cefpiramide is a semi-synthetic third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Its in vitro antibacterial activity is similar to that of lomefloxacin, but its half-life is significantly longer than that of lomefloxacin. After the drug was launched in Japan in 1985, it has been widely used in clinical treatment of bacterial infections, and has achieved good results, with rare and minor adverse reactions. This product is characterized by a wide range of antibacterial spectrum and bactericidal activity. It has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, and is quite stable to β-lactamase.
