The production method is obtained by bromination of 2'-Chloroacetophenone:
Add benzene and o-chloroacetophenone into the reaction pot, add a part of bromine at room temperature while stirring, and continue to add bromine dropwise after the reaction solution fades. At the beginning of the reaction, heat appropriately according to the reaction situation. After the bromine was added dropwise, it was stirred for 1H. Add ice water, stir and stand to separate layers, take the benzene layer and wash with sodium carbonate solution, then wash with water. After recovering benzene, α-bromo-o-chloroacetophenone is obtained.
