Uses :

Monoaceto-ne glucose belongs to glucose derivatives and is an important chiral source and building block, which can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry.

In addition, monoaceto-ne glucose can also be used for synthesizing drug carriers, drug controlled release carriers, and diagnostic reagents. It is commonly used for the synthesis of pharmaceutical preparations and bioactive molecules. For example, monoaceto-ne glucose can be used to synthesize drugs such as Nojirimycin and Deoxynojirimycin for the treatment of diabetes, organic metal complexes (platinum, osmium, ruthenium, etc.) for the treatment of cancer, other anti-cancer and anti-tumor drugs and cancer drug precursors (organophosphorus compounds), and azoles for anti Huning virus and blood fever virus (such as dengue fever, dengue hemorrhagic fever, and Argentine hemorrhagic fever). In pharmaceutical chemistry, monoaceto-ne glucose can also be used as a synthetic tracer for glucose transport: 18 fluoro labeled 6-deoxy-6-fluoro-D-glucose.
