2-Bromobutane is used in the various organic synthesis, existing as a grignard reagent. Intermediates for organic synthesis. Solvents. When the concentration of this product in the air is high, it has an anesthetic effect. It is obtained by the reaction of para-butanol with bromohydroacid in the presence of sulfuric acid. The concentrated sulfur was slowly added into hydrobromic acid for mixing, and then added with para-butyl alcohol. After reflux reaction for 2-3h, bromide was distilled, and the distillate was stratified by Chemicalbook. The distillate was washed with water, concentrated hydrochloric acid, water, dilute solution of sodium carbonate and water in organic sequence, and dried with anhydrous calcium chloride. Finally, the finished product is obtained by distilling and collecting the fraction at 90.5 ~ 92.5℃.
