Topiroxostat (FYX-051), chemical name 5-(2-cyano-4-pyridyl)-3-(4-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole, is produced by Japan A non-purine selective xanthine oxidoreductase inhibitor researched and developed by Fuji Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to selectively and reversibly inhibit xanthine oxidoreductase and reduce serum uric acid value. Toxico Pitstat has a competitive barrier to xanthine oxidoreductase, thereby inhibiting the production of uric acid. It has no hindrance to other pyrimidine purine metabolizing enzymes, and it exhibits selective hindrance to xanthine oxidoreductase. Topirastat has a significant inhibitory effect on both oxidized and reduced XOR, so its effect of reducing uric acid is more powerful and long-lasting, so this product can be used to treat chronic hyperuricemia of gout.
