Production method: Using resorcinol as raw material, isomerization, catalytic hydrogenation, and then cyclization with ethyl bromopyruvate to prepare 4-oxotetrahydrogumarone carboxylic acid. It is added to a methanol solution saturated with ammonia and heated in an autoclave to generate 4-oxotetrahydroindole. Finally, 4-hydroxyindole is prepared by dehydrogenation and isomerization.
