Uses: It can be used to prepare a variety of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides; as an antibacterial and preservative, it is widely used in the preparation of adhesives, rubber products and antiseptic emulsions in the textile industry. It can be used as a disinfectant by itself, and its sodium salt is also a bactericide and preservative, used in manufacturing and leather industry; in medicine, it is used to synthesize chloropropynyl iodine, sterilizing phenol, etc.
