IPI-549, produced by InfinityPharmaceuticals, works by blocking the molecule PI3kinase-gamma(PI3chemicalbookkγ) in suppressor cells. The results, published in Nature in 2016, showed that blocking this molecule altered the balance of these immunosuppressor cells and promoted the activation of anti-tumor immunity. IPI-549 is a selective inhibitor of phosphoinositol 3 kinase (PI3Kγ). PI3Kγ inhibitors can be used to develop potential therapies for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. IPI-549, produced by Infinity Pharmaceuticals, works by blocking the PI3 kinase-gamma (PI3Kγ) molecule in suppressor cells, which can be used as a cell biology reagent.
