It demonstrated in vivo nootropic activity in rats. 2,3,5, 6-tetramethylpyrazine is used in soft drinks and nuts. GB 2760 -- 1996: Permitted edible flavours. Mainly used for the preparation of meat and cocoa, peanuts, nuts, coffee, chocolate and other flavors. Used as flavoring agent, sweetener in alcoholic beverages, flavoring agent and tonic in cigarettes.
