Application:Piperazine anhydrous is clinically used for intestinal ascariasis. It is effective for incomplete intestinal obstruction caused by roundworms or early biliary ascariasis. It is also used for pinworm infection.Various salts of piperazine (more stable in nature than piperazine) are low-toxic and effective anthelmintic drugs. In addition to roundworms, they also have certain effects on esophageal stoma nematodes and apical tail nematodes. They have been widely used in Chemicalbook veterinary clinics. The anthelmintic effect of piperazine is an anticholinergic effect on the neuromuscular junction of roundworms, thereby blocking the transmission of nerve impulses. At the same time, the function of producing succinic acid in the parasites is also blocked, resulting in paralysis of the parasites. It loses the ability to attach to the host's intestinal wall and is excreted with feces through intestinal peristalsis.
