Application

pyridinol can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry, and can be used in the synthesis of drug molecule bisacolidine. Bisacolidine is a stimulant laxative that mainly acts on the large intestine. After oral administration of bisacolidine , the product decomposed by intestinal bacteria and the drug itself have a strong stimulating effect on the intestinal wall, which can stimulate the parasympathetic nerve reflex in sensory nerve endings, causing intestinal reflex peristalsis and resulting in defecation.
