Uses :

Fluoroquinone, also known as fluoroquinic acid or fluorohexaquinic acid, is a second generation of artificially synthesized quinolone animal specific antibacterial drug Chemicalbook. It is currently the only broad-spectrum antibacterial veterinary drug that is not shared with humans. It is a substitute product for norfloxacin and has strong bactericidal activity, with good therapeutic effects on animal bacterial diseases. As the quinolone antibacterial drug sodium fluoroquine can inhibit bacterial DNA helicase, it has broad antibacterial spectrum, high efficiency, low toxicity, strong tissue penetration, and no anesthetic effect. It has become one of the most important anti infective drugs in veterinary clinic and aquaculture, and is widely used for treatment, prevention and growth promotion. Due to its drug resistance and potential carcinogenicity, the European Union, Chemicalbook Japan, and China have all established maximum residue limits in their tissues (100ppb for both China and the EU).

At present, the main detection methods for fluoroquine include fluorescence spectrophotometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and liquid chromatography. ELISA has become a routine screening method due to its high sensitivity and easy operation.
