Uses:
It is used to make thermosetting resin, modified resin, amino paint and plastic, medicine, pesticide and dye.
1. Like melamine, phenylmelamine diamine, a coating for metal, is used as an intermediate of special chemicals. In addition, most of it reacts with formaldehyde to form hydroxymethylated phenylmelamine diamine, which is used as molding materials and resin fiber processing aids for lamination. The hydroxymethylated benzene melamine diamine is further modified with alcohol to obtain alkylate, which becomes a coating mainly used for metals.
2. It is the most distinctive method to use melamine as decorative board. In addition, the resin impregnated paper, as the veneer of the concrete plate, can make the surface of the concrete plate smooth and flat, facilitate demoulding, and have excellent durability. Fluorescent pigments based on benzyl melamine diamine resin, as colorants for polypropylene, polyethylene, rigid and flexible polyvinyl chloride resins and printing inks, are also developing in use and demand. Benzene melamine further reacts to prepare butyl alcohol etherified benzene melamine formaldehyde resin, and methanol etherified benzene melamine formaldehyde resin. They can be used as crosslinking agents for baking coatings, and can be mixed with alkyd resin, acrylic resin, etc. to make coatings.
In addition, the hydroxymethyl compound of benzene substituted melamine can be mixed with urea formaldehyde resin, phenol formaldehyde resin and melamine formaldehyde resin to make molding materials.
