2- amino-5 - methylpyridine is the intermediate of imidacloprid and acetamiprid. The preparation method is to add trimethylamine and 3-methylpyridine - n-oxide in dichloromethane, cool to 5℃, add dichloromethane solution of sulphoxide chloride, stir the liquid, evaporate the solvent, get (5-methylpyridine - 2-yl) trimethyl ammonium chloride, and then add bromohydrogen acid, cracking at 200 ~ 210℃ to get the product.
