Uses:

Cisplatin is a non-specific drug in the cell cycle and has cytotoxicity. Due to the faster proliferation and synthesis of cancer cells compared to normal cells, cancer cells are more sensitive to the cytotoxic effects of this product. It can inhibit the DNA replication process of cancer cells and damage the structure on their cell membranes, demonstrating strong broad-spectrum anti-cancer effects.

Used for malignant tumors of the urinary and reproductive system such as ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer, with good therapeutic effects. Combined with vincristine, cyclophosphamide and 5-fluorouracil, it has obvious effect on malignant lymphoma, breast cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, thyroid cancer osteosarcoma, etc.

Cisplatin combined with radiotherapy has outstanding therapeutic effects on advanced non-small cell lung cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, esophageal cancer, etc. It also has certain therapeutic effects on liver cancer and soft tissue sarcoma.

Cisplatin is a highly accumulative drug that is prone to nephrotoxicity, and gastrointestinal reactions are common. Some patients may experience granulocytopenia, but it can recover within 7-14 days after discontinuation.

In addition, the damage caused by this product to DNA may alter its antigenicity within the nucleus or on the cell surface, exposing previously hidden surface antigens and stimulating immune suppression of antibodies to exert its cytotoxic effect.
