Application:

Tris (hydroxymethyl) methylglycine is a zwitterionic buffer reagent, derived from Tris and glycine, similar in structure to Tris, but at high concentrations has weaker inhibition than TRIS, and is also one of Good's buffer reagents, originally developed to provide a buffer system for chloroplast reactions.

Tricine has an effective pH buffer range of 7.4-8.8 with a pKa of 8.1 (25 ° C) and is commonly used as an electrophoretic buffer and for resuspension cell precipitation. Tricine has the characteristics of low negative charge and high ionic strength, which is very suitable for electrophoretic separation of 1~1 chemicalbook00kDa low molecular weight proteins. In the firefly luciferin based ATP analysis experiment, Tricine (25mM) showed the best detection effect compared with 10 common buffers.
